Leend was a government consultant and engaged in bilateral projects. Especially between Indonesia, UAE and Germany. During that time he came across mining sites numerous times and always found the conditions to be of such nature that require immediate help and change. The right time came and Steffen along with his team from Germany, the US, Australia and Indonesia decided to do something about it. That was the spark behind ATM Promining, various mining operations and a whole lot of other developments, products, services and projects. Leend is a mining and prospecting expert and has a heart for small scale miners that are in need of know how and technology to achieve better life conditions.
