The Minelab GPZ 8000™ is the newest and most serious series for mining work.: depth focus but still comfortable to use in 'fussy' ground (which usually makes the detector beep constantly). The standard package comes with an 18" Z-Set coil—made for chasing deep targets—and there are three coil options to adjust the sweep method, target size, and ground conditions. The detection is optimized for difficult ground, while Echo Sonic Pro™ provides layered sound + clearer stereo, so you can be more confident in distinguishing target signals from ground noise. Suitable for those of you who want to return to your old location and pick up the gold you left behind.

GeoZVT™ Technology
The proven depth of ZVT™, now with smarter signal control, keeps performance strong in challenging terrain: mineral-rich, conductive/wet soil, and even locations with high signal interference (EMI) such as near power lines or machinery. The result: You can still capture gold signals more clearly in conditions that would normally make other detectors noisy, and turn difficult locations into more productive gold-seeking locations.

Ground Type Selection (Soil Type Choice)
Detection performance is "tuned" to handle a variety of ground conditions, as the machine can analyze and then adjust as the terrain changes. There are four soil types to choose from, utilizing Echo Sonic Pro™ audio to help you identify the soil's characteristics through subtle stereo feedback (clearly distinguishing "ground noise" from target signals). As a result, performance settings can be adjusted to pursue shallow gold flakes to deeper nuggets, including in mineralized and conductive soils that typically make detection more challenging. Suitable for those of you who… frequently move spots and need a machine that can quickly “adjust” to field conditions.
