What's Flotation?
Work Principle Flotation
Flotation is a process of separating certain solid minerals from other solid minerals. The surface properties of the minerals are separated where the wett mineral remains in the water phase while the unsophobic minerals stick to the air bubble. Because hydrophobic minerals attach to air bubbles, they rise to the surface and form a foam that contains high concentration of mineral particles, which can be harvested and separated from other unwanted mineral materials.
The terms for flotation to function properly:
The particle size should be small enough.
Bubbles must be pretty big.
The mineral properties, hydrophobic or hydrophylic, determine whether or not minerals will stick with air bubbles or not.
Mineral Hydrophobic vs Hydrophyphylic
Mineral hydrophobic - A mineral attached to the air bubble.
Hydrophylic mineral - That mineral won't stick with the air bubble.
Natural hydrofobic Minerals have gamma-c values between 26 and 35 dyn/cm (talc, sulfur, graphite, molybdenite, orpiment, realgar) and can usually be spun without using collectors.
The most famous hydrophilic mineral is salt, and saltlike minerals like salt do not float because they dissolve in water.
Reagen Flotation
Reagen created a conducive condition so that the flotation process would function in an efficient way.

Flotation Stage
Conditing It's a therapy of pulmonary material with chemical reagens so that if given air then the desired minerals float and other minerals drown in a flotation tank.
Aeration is the process of air injection into the pup that causes bubbles in the material. Aeration is carried out after conditioning process.
A Collector's Function for Mineral Ore Flotation Process
Collectors will work on the surface of ore minerals that will be melted, usually the minerals that will be melted around, precious minerals like gold, precious metal, copper, etc. but there are some scenarios where the authors must be pushed first. Collectors react with the mineral selectively.
Reagent Collectors are heteropolar compounds that contain polar and non-polar parts.
The polar part is an active molecule that gets ionized in water, this polar region that reacts to the mineral surface and is hydrophilic.
Whereas the non-polar part is an inactive molecule, so it's not dissolved in water and it causes the mineral surface of the ore to become hydrophobic.
Main Function Collector:
envelop mineral surfaces to be melted
creating hydrophobic minerals
attached to the air bubble
Reagen Frither Function for Flotation Process
The frother is added to the flotation tank to stabilize and to gain the surface of the tank. The frother serves as a bubble stabilizer. The stability of the bubble is an important parameter for flotation and requires appropriate skill.
The desired mineral ore cannot be separated from other materials if the bubble is unstable, the seeds can break and the mineral contents will not go up.
Main Requirement for the Regent Frog
Can form stable foam,
Doesn't serve as a collector
Economical value.
The Main Function of the Frother
Lowering surface voltage so that foam can form
Reaching the optimal smooth bubble dispersion
Causing stable foam so that the float could function
Control the size and process of bubble unity
Controlling the speed of the bubble up to the surface.
Modifier Function for Flotation Process
Modifier is a chemical reagen to increase the sensitivity and efficiency of collectors, with modifiers to raise and lower certain particle hydrophobsity.
